# About our anti-cheat

### The Damnatio AntiCheat (DAC)

At Damnatio, we are committed to providing a fair and enjoyable experience for all players. Our **Damnatio AntiCheat (DAC)** is a cutting-edge system designed to detect and prevent cheating, ensuring that every player can enjoy a competitive and secure gaming environment.

---

#### **What is DAC?**

DAC is a custom-built anti-cheat system specifically designed for the unique needs of the Damnatio Minecraft server. Developed in-house and constantly updated, it aims to maintain the integrity of our gameplay by identifying and stopping unfair practices, such as:

- Using hacked clients
- Exploiting game mechanics
- Employing unauthorized mods or cheats

---

#### **Key Features**

1. **Real-Time Detection**
The anti-cheat system continuously monitors gameplay for any irregularities or suspicious behavior. Whether it’s speed hacking, fly hacking, or unusual combat patterns, DAC is always on guard.
2. **Client-Side Protection
     ** **Early Cheat Prevention**
Cheats are often stopped before they even connect to the server, reducing strain on server-side resources.

   **Enhanced Security**
By monitoring the client directly, these protections can detect cheats that may bypass server-side detection.

   **Detailed Reporting**
Some client-side systems provide in-depth logs for server admins, showing exactly what triggered a detection.

   **Improved Fairness**
Client-side protections can level the playing field, especially in competitive environments like PvP or tournaments.

3. **Server-Side Protection**
Unlike some systems that rely on server-side software, DAC runs directly on the clients. This ensures a higher level of security and reduces the risk of players tampering with the system.
4. **Fair Play for All**
Our system is fine-tuned to avoid false positives, so legitimate players don’t need to worry about being penalized for normal gameplay.
5. **Continuous Updates**
We regularly update DAC to stay ahead of the latest cheating techniques. Our development team is dedicated to ensuring that the system evolves with the game.

---

#### **Why Does This Matter to You?**

Cheating ruins the experience for everyone. By maintaining a cheat-free environment, DAC ensures:

- Fair competition in PvP and survival gameplay
- A level playing field for all players
- A thriving, honest community

---

#### **Your Role as a Player**

We encourage all players to play fair and report any suspicious activity to our support team or moderators. Together, we can keep Damnatio a safe and enjoyable place for everyone.

---

With DAC, you can focus on what matters most: **immersing yourself in the adventure, surviving the apocalypse, and conquering challenges with your friends**.

**Welcome to Damnatio – where fairness meets fun!**
